# PMM2.1 can add costom prometheus job?

I’m new to pmm.  
I set up pmm for monitoring mysql,and it work well.  
Now, i want to use prometheus to monitoring my spring(java) application.My application already have an endpoint for prometheus.How can i add it to pmm?

Hello, I am not 100% sure but from my point of view it’s not a good idea. Pmm prometheus is cleaned up from time to time, and it has retention period for metrics. For monitoring your app I would rather to use separate Prometheus.
