# PMM QAN - Query Analytics API

How can i disable QAN Agent/API on PMM 2?  
Whats the impact on Enabling QAN on DB Performance?

Hello @theprasun,  
There is very little impact on the DB when using PMM-QAN. When you have a slow query, as part of the cleanup process before finishing the query, MySQL collects the statistics and writes them to the slow log file on disk. This happens whether you are using QAN or not. The QAN agent simply reads this file, sends the contents to PMM server where the bulk aggregations are calculated.
