# Percona Server for MongoDB 3.4 Release Candidate is now available

Percona is pleased to announce the release of Percona Server for MongoDB 3.4.1-1.1rc on February 6, 2017. It is the first release candidate in the 3.4 series. Download the latest version from the [Percona web site](https://www.percona.com/downloads/percona-server-mongodb-3.4) or the Percona [Software Repositories](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server-for-mongodb/3.4/install/index.html).

NOTE: Release candidate packages are available from testing repository.

Percona Server for MongoDB is an enhanced, open source, fully compatible, highly scalable, zero-maintenance downtime database supporting the MongoDB v3.4 protocol and drivers. It extends MongoDB with [Percona Memory Engine](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server-for-mongodb/3.4/inmemory.html) and [MongoRocks](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-server-for-mongodb/3.4/mongorocks.html) storage engine, as well as several enterprise-grade features:
