# Percona Monitoring configuration with Remote Mongo DB

Is there a detailed documentation for connecting percona monitoring with remote mongodb server. I have searched the forum for assisting the same. I have successfully conected with local mongod server on my ubuntu 20.04 machine. But for remote mongo DB with ppk file. Any leads or assistance appreciated.

Hi @shubhamkankutlawar,

Here is the link to our documentation with information refer adding a remote mongodb service.  
Sad to say but there is no possibility to use a ppk key file.
