# Percona Binary issue with libssl.so.1.1

Hi,

We encountered this issue same again 8.0.39/40.

In the past when we raised similar concern, Percona fixed and uploaded new binaries(linux generic).

Similarly, when we install with 8.0.39 and 8.0.40, we see this error on some OS platforms:  
“error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

This could be for two reasons:

1. Until 8.0.37, Percona released binaries with glibc2.17. However with 8.0.39 and .40 glibc2.17 was not uploaded.
2. When tested using glibc2.28, libssl.so.1.1 missing in the package ? Some of our platforms still use openssl 1.0.x.

Please help upload glibc2.17 that is compatible with openssl 1.0.x.

Providing glibc2.17 tarballs is discontinued due to CentOS Linux 7 reached end of life.
