# Mysqld\_exporter to connect to the DB using exporter user with mTLS and not plain-text password

## Description:

I need to convert the mysqld\_exporter to connect to the DB using exporter user with mTLS but I do not see any available options in the web-config.yml to pass the certs location to authenticate with the exporter user subject string and create a connection. Has anyone achieved the same using the latest version of Pecona mysqld\_exporter ?

Hi, I haven’t tested this myself but here is an example of the format you should be using:
