# mysql service Not starting

we are using percona xtradb cluster on centos ,  
we are configured 4 nodes now 2nd and 3rd node is stopped.  
i’m not able to restart the mysql service. while start the mysql service facing the following error message.

#service mysql status  
ERROR! MySQL (Percona XtraDB Cluster) is not running, but lock file (/var/lock/subsys/mysql) exists

#service mysql start  
ERROR! MySQL (Percona XtraDB Cluster) is not running, but lock file (/var/lock/subsys/mysql) exists  
Starting MySQL (Percona XtraDB Cluster)…State transfer in progress, setting sleep higher  
… … ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file (/var/lib/mysql/p2.hostroyale.com.pid).  
ERROR! MySQL (Percona XtraDB Cluster) server startup failed!

i’m already cleared lock and log files please anybody help me…

Some time passed. Did you check /var/lock/subsys/mysql creation time? If so, look at the error log, and check which errors occurred at that time.

MySQL should have deleted that file, but it crashed for some reason.
