# MySQL 5.6 slave stopped because of error SET @master\_binlog\_checksum

I have the multi master set up with three servers, suddenly the slave thread stopped on the server because of the below error:

Slave I/O: The slave I/O thread stops because a fatal error is encountered when it tried to SET @master\_binlog\_checksum on master. Error: , Error\_code: 1593

After changed the master\_verify\_checksum setting to on this sever, it works again, but the other 2 servers without this problem even the master\_verify\_checksum is still off.

How this happened?
