Hi there,
So I see the notice here
(https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/2.4/howtos/recipes_xbk_restore.html)”][https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-...k\_restore.html](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-...k_restore.html%5B/URL%5D)

Because xtrabackup doesn’t copy [MyISAM](https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/2.4/glossary.html#term-myisam) files, .frm files, and the rest of the database, you might need to back those up separately.

Did innobackupex copy these files?
If so, I don’t understand why it is being retired whereas xtrabackup is much more limited without innobackupex.
I don’t see the point of using 2 utilities to backup my datadir.

What is the solution to this?
Is innobackupex or another wrapper coming back to take care of these limitations?

Thanks
