# Looking for alternate ways of installing auth\_pam plugin

This seems to be the only way to install the auth\_pam.so plugin for mysql without installing the whole percona server:

Is there any rpm or anything I can use to download just the plugin?

The PAM plugin is packaged in percona-server-server RPM. You can download the generic binaries of Percona Server for MySQL from [https://percona.com/downloads](https://percona.com/downloads) if you do not want to install via RPM.
