# Is it possible to monitor the PostgreSQL replication

Hi Team,

How to monitor the PostgreSQL replication monitoring? I don’t see any dashboard’s related to PostgreSQL replication, at least we don’t know replication is up or not?

Hi Naresh,

It is indeed possible to monitor replication, but it’s not something that you get from native PMM metrics (for now).  
You can use the extensibility of PMM to create a custom query collector (and its graph) for this purpose, as discussed in the following presentation:

There is an example in particular for PG replication lag that you may be interested in watching.
