# I am unable to make any unmanaged mongodb cluster

## Description:

I believe I am missing a step for creating an unmanaged mongodb cluster.  
I have tried a number of ways to get an unmanaged cluster working and I have not been able to. I doubt that it is broken. I must be missing something.

## Steps to Reproduce:

## Version:

Operator helm 1.6.2 and previous ones tested as well.

## Expected Result:

I would have a cluster that I can use to migrate a legacy mongodb to: [https://www.percona.com/blog/migrating-mongodb-to-kubernetes](https://www.percona.com/blog/migrating-mongodb-to-kubernetes)

## Actual Result:

Cluster fails, pods constantly crash, operator never states cluster is ready.
