# Feature request for oneline tools

Hello, it would be a very nice feature: the file difference calculation in the panel: [tools.percona.com](http://tools.percona.com)

That would be a great tool for sysadmins!

What do you mean by file difference calculation? Something like md5sum or more like diff showing which lines are different?

There are plenty of excellent tools for this already, both linux commandline or online web scripts.

I meant the standard diff: [File:Meld file1.png - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Meld_file1.png)  
It is important to have it in tools.percona to be able to play with different configurations to understand how much memory, resources will be requested by database. And also having dozens of MySQL installations it would wise to keep configs in one place and compare between them.

Then in the query analyzer is would be nice to keep track of diffs, so you may tune your monster query and keep all diffs in one place.
