# Exporting database from mysql to percona

Hi folks,

I’m trying to export a website database from localhost to my hosting account. The problem is that the website is missing some modifications which I did on localhost.  
My localhost database is 5.7.9 - MySQL Community Server (GPL) and at the hosting side it is 5.6.30-76.3-log - Percona Server (GPL).  
I suspect it has something to do with font encoding although I’m not sure, because the site is portuguese (brazil).  
So please advice whether I have to do any steps before I upload to my hosting account.
