Wondering if it is indeed a duplicate index when one is a BTREE index and one is a FULLTEXT index such as the following example:

| partall | 1 | partkey | 1 | partkey | A | 9001334 | NULL | NULL | | BTREE

| partall | 1 | partsno\_2 | 1 | partkey | NULL | 9001334 | NULL | NULL | | FULLTEXT
| partall | 1 | partsno\_2 | 2 | clei | NULL | 9001334 | NULL | NULL | | FULLTEXT

In the above example can I eliminate the partkey BTREE index since it is covered by the partsno\_2 “compound” FULLTEXT index?

Thanks
Tim

No, they are different kinds of indices.
