# distant server mysql

hello everyone , i am a new member ,

i installed pmm right now for monitor a several of Database servers (using their public ip ) , so i followed all the steps and i have a question about Collecting data from PMM Clients on PMM server STEP , the question is : how to do when we apply this command sudo pmm-admin add mysql but we have not the user and password of servers which i will monitor ? because the  
result of this command it will be :  
[linux:metrics] OK, already monitoring this system.  
[mysql:metrics] Cannot connect to MySQL: Error 1045: Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’ (using password: NO)
