# Differences among XtraBackup 8.0.28-19 and 8.0.28-20

Hello team, thanks for the great work.  
Apologies if newby/noobs question:)

I have mysql 8.0.28, and I need to download percona xtrabackup;  
what is the differences among these two packages that i can download:  
XtraBackup 8.0.28-19  
and  
XtraBackup 8.0.28-20

As long as they are both 8.0.28 you are fine. You dont need to worry about the -19 not matching.

On top of what @Wayne_Leutwyler said, If you are using MySQL 8.0.28 it does not matter which version of PXB 8.0.28 you are using.

The versions are actually PXB 8.0.28-20 and 8.0.28-21.

PXB 8.0.28-21 has introduced Tech Preview support for Keyring KMS - [Percona XtraBackup 8.0.28-21 (2022-05-25) - Percona XtraBackup](https://docs.percona.com/percona-xtrabackup/8.0/release-notes/8.0/8.0.28-21.0.html) .  
That version is to be used with Percona Server 8.0.28-20 once its out (not yet released) and you want to use Keyring KMS, for that you will need PXB 8.0.28-21 which is the version that has support for KMS.

In summary, at the current state of things, it does not matter which version of PXB you are using as long as the major version matches (server and PXB are in 8.0.28). That said, we always advise users to be running on latest.
