Many blogs are saying we need to set that variables in Master-Master replication. and Percona blog seen set slave\_exec\_mode=IDEMPOTENT. If we set it will ignore the Duplicate key error.

if we set slave\_skip\_errors=error\_code. This also help us to ignore that error.

I Wanted to know which one is best practice and which is more efficient. Can some one please help me with the clear idea?

I suggest to stay away from master-master. Check out: [Resolving the MySQL Active-Active Replication Dilemma - Percona Database Performance Blog](https://www.percona.com/blog/2021/04/28/resolving-the-mysql-active-active-replication-dilemma/)
Also setting idempotent mode could cause data drift issues so you should stick to strict mode if you care about your data.
