I have a cpanel/whm server with Percona mysql server and am having problems while compiling php. It fails compiling on the mysqli extension every time regardless of version and configuration. This seems to be a Percona issue. I have tried various means of compiling php such as the easyapache and compiling manually but the mysqli extension will not compile. Does anyone know how to get mysqli to work with Percona?

Update…I was able to get mysqli working with Percona 5.5.
