# Can we customize PMM UI tool for monitoring elasticsearch DB?

We have a requirement for monitoring elasticsearchDB also. As per PMM documentation it won’t support elastic db and PMM is open-source tool, so, can we customize PMM tool to monitor elastic db?

Hi @shrishail  
You may collect metrics by a custom exporter and pass it to PMM.  
Used exporter has to expose metrics in Prometheus format.
