# Asio system error caused inconsistent cluster condition

3-node cluster. One node went inconsistent with the following in the log.

2021-11-17T02:41:38.674476Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-000000] [Galera] got asio system error while reading IST stream: asio.ssl.stream:1 ec: 1 what: read: stream truncated  
2021-11-17T02:41:38.674606Z 0 [ERROR] [MY-000000] [Galera] IST didn’t contain all write sets, expected last: 36876744 last received: 36876742  
2021-11-17T02:41:38.675114Z 2 [ERROR] [MY-000000] [Galera] Receiving IST failed, node restart required: IST receiver reported failure: 71 (Protocol error)

Looks like the joiner timed out to receive the full IST sequence. Maybe there were some huge transactions included, maybe the network was unstable. Hard to say without a more complete error log view and the log from the donor side as well.
