Migrating from MySQL 5.7 to Percona MySQL 5.7

Hi.
We are running MySQL 5.7.6 community version and we would like to change over to Percona. Previous with MySQL 5.5 we used the XtraBackup windows version to backup our database.. meaning that we just had to delete logs and then copy the idata1 file back and restart MySQL.

To speed migration can we do the same between MySQL 5.7 and Percona 5.7 Or are there significant internal structure changes.
If we can then it will ease moving our 60Gb database fro one server to another.

You can do the same for Percona Server 5.7, or even easier - you can just start Percona Server 5.7 on the same data directory where MySQL 5.7 was running. But make a backup first anyway!
