key efficiency

RobinRobin EntrantInactive User Role Beginner
My key efficiency stays at 0%. We tried changing the innodb_buffer_pool_size but that doen't seem to help. The website itself runs smoothly but the 0% key efficiency has me worried.

Running ubuntu 14.04
mysql 5.6

sql.cnf:

[mysql]

# CLIENT #
port = 3306
socket = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

[mysqld_safe]
socket = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
nice = 0

[mysqld]

skip-name-resolve
skip-external-locking

# GENERAL #
user = mysql
default_storage_engine = InnoDB
socket = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
pid_file = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid

# MyISAM #
key_buffer_size = 32M
myisam_recover = FORCE,BACKUP

# SAFETY #
max_allowed_packet = 16M
max_connect_errors = 1000000

# DATA STORAGE #
datadir = /var/lib/mysql

# CACHES AND LIMITS #
tmp_table_size = 32M
max_heap_table_size = 32M
query_cache_type = 1
query_cache_size = 16M
max_connections = 500
thread_cache_size = 50
open_files_limit = 65535
table_definition_cache = 1024
table_open_cache = 2048

# INNODB #
innodb_flush_method = O_DIRECT
innodb_log_files_in_group = 2
innodb_log_file_size = 64M
innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit = 2
innodb_file_per_table = 1
innodb_buffer_pool_size = 592M

# LOGGING #
log_error = /var/log/mysql/mysql_error.log
log_queries_not_using_indexes = 1
slow_query_log = 1
slow_query_log_file = /var/log/mysql/mysql_slow.log

!includedir /etc/mysql/conf.d/

All help is much appriciated

    Hi Robin, did you get the Key efficiency from MySQL Workbench? That should be a measure of MyISAM key cache efficiency, calculated by Key_reads/Key_read_requests. If you are not using MyISAM tables, you can safely ignore it.
